Who we are and what we do
The Waarborgfonds Motorverkeer (Dutch Motor Traffic Guarantee Fund) was established some fifty years ago. Its main goal is to compensate people for suffered damages or injury by a motor traffic accident, who can't claim these damages or injury with an insurer.
You must think of damages caused by unknown or uninsured motorists. Damages or injury caused by an accident with a stolen vehicle may also be compensated by the fund.
Any damage not caused by a motor vehicle, for instance when vandalism is involved, will not be compensated for.
The Waarborgfonds is a non-profit foundation and is being financed with annually established contributions by insurers.
